Meet Hanna Ståhl and Lovisa Hamrin
Meet Lovisa Hamrin and Hanna Ståhl
"For me, it's about the moment we have on earth," says Lovisa Hamrin, President of the Hamrin Foundation. Through her work with the Foundation and her passionate commitment to helping others, she is a leading voice in creating a better future for all. "It's about being aware of the moment we have and using it in a meaningful way."
Lovisa Hamrin's life journeys
Lovisa Hamrin divides her life into three phases, each of which has shaped her view of life and the Foundation's purpose. From the play and imagination of childhood to the hard work period and then the philosophical journey towards the meaning of life and the Foundation.
"I was a child for a long time and from that time I carry with me the value of freedom. Free is an important word for me. Today I value friendships where freedom is the focus; you give each other ideas and you want something together.
During the second phase of her life, she worked extremely hard and realized how much she loved work and enjoyed taking on challenges.
"My father always used to say: acquire knowledge, because it gives you strength." When the opportunity to take over the foundation arose, Lovisa embarked on what she calls a 14-year cleaning period, where the focus was on restructuring and organizing the business. Around 2021, she felt she had brought the Foundation to the point she wanted and was ready for the next step. This is when the third phase of her life began. Now Lovisa started to think more about the meaning of life and the Foundation. "I see it as a creative journey: what can we do with this? I realized that the foundation needed a strategic framework, and at the same time I realized that this had to be led by someone." That's when she recruited her first CEO, Hanna Ståhl. It was a fresh start for the Foundation.
Hanna Ståhl has an impressive career in academia spanning 17 years, in which she has held several significant roles such as study counselor, head of unit, head of department, project manager and university director. In April 2023, she took on the role of CEO of the Hamrin Foundation, where her experience and drive for development will be crucial for the future of the foundation.
"We have to dare to be in the problem, says Hanna. We have to find the solution, I say", says Lovisa. We have different journeys in our bodies. We have fun together and we complement each other. I like working with good people, people with integrity, and Hanna has that.
"Moving from institutional settings to a family business has been a new and exciting challenge for me," says Hanna. "I have had a lot of freedom to shape the Foundation in a way that stretches its possibilities further than before.
Building team spirit and long-term impact
In my leadership, I emphasize the importance of teamwork, where everyone gets to develop their style of play within the overall team structure. Through strong networks, we want to give young talents a good start in their careers and shape structures that benefit the Foundation's work going forward.
Hanna and Lovisa's shared vision is for the Hamrin Foundation to be innovative, high quality and seize contemporary opportunities. They strive to balance the intentions of the owners with being at the forefront, always ready for new challenges and a pioneering future.
